About Us

The Dakota Territory Sheriffs Association was formed in 2015 as a partnership between the sheriffs of North Dakota and South Dakota to provide efficient administration of criminal justice; protect the jurisdiction of the sheriff; promote the discharge of their law enforcement, corrections, and judicial responsibilities in a fair, efficient, and professional manner; and to promote the cooperation, coordination, and communication amongst all city, county, state, tribal, and federal law enforcement agencies to the benefit of all the public and the law enforcement within North Dakota and South Dakota.
