Upcoming Conferences & Training

The South Dakota Sheriffs’ Association holds two conferences annually, spring and fall.

Spring Conference (Registration Opening Soon):  Average attendance of 230-250.  Audience is comprised of Sheriff's Offices, Police Departments, and other State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies in South Dakota and surrounding states.

Fall Conference (Oct 13-15):  Average attendance of 130-150.  On odd numbered years, we host a "Dakota Territory Sheriffs Conference" between North Dakota and South Dakota.  Even numbered years, we also invite each state, but it is not an official Dakota Territory Conference.

2026 Sheriffs/Police Chiefs Spring Conference

The South Dakota Sheriffs’ Association and South Dakota Police Chiefs’ Association invite you to sponsor their joint spring conference. Over 150 police chiefs and sheriffs from across South Dakota gather at this annual conference to learn about and discuss hot topics in law enforcement.

Platinum - $5,000

  • Prominent logo and link to company website on attendee registration webpage. Register early for the most exposure.

  • Opportunity to speak for five minutes.
  • Includes one ticket for each conference meal.

Silver - $1,500

  • Logo included in list of sponsors on the conference website and app.
  • Logo included in your exhibitor listing on the website and app.
  • Logo listed on on-site conference signage.
  • Company name listed as a sponsor on the exhibit area social signage.
  • Includes one exhibitor booth space and all associated benefits.
  • Designation as a star exhibitor booth for attendee prize drawings.
  • Choice of booth location based on sponsorship level and date of registration if paid 30 days prior to event.

Bronze - $800 + Ooutdoor Space - $150 (No indoor vehicle display)

  • Approximately 8-foot-wide by 6-foot-deep booth with pipe and drape, table, and two chairs.
  • Booth placement will be determined based on registration date. Platinum, Gold, and Silver sponsors will be able to select their booth space. All others will be assigned by staff. A limited number of booths are available in an area that is secured overnight.
  • Electricity is available at all booths but may require power strips and extension cord to access.
  • Free wireless internet access is available through the hotel.
  • All breaks and a Wednesday night social will be held near the exhibitor area.
  • No limit to the number of personnel staffing the booth. Meals are not included and must be purchased separately, unless indicated as part of your sponsorship package. Bring your own nametags.
  • Door prizes at your individual booth are allowed. If desired, we can notify the winners for you on Thursday morning.
  • Add an outdoor display space for $150. Spaces are located just outside the conference center hallway and are available on a first-come, first-served basis to those who have paid the extra fee and registered. If you purchase an outdoor booth space, we’ll place your indoor booth close to the nearest exit.
  • Participant list (name, title, organization) provided the week before the conference, in your on-site exhibitor packet, and after the conference.
  • Organization name, contact information, and website link included on the exhibitor list on the conference website and app.
  • Exhibitor booths typically sell out. Those committing to conference sponsorships will have the opportunity to register before the remaining booths become available.

Floor Pass - $800
Allows a company representative to access the exhibit floor at the same level as an exhibitor, but no booth space is included.

Single Event Sponsorhsip
Does not include booth or meals

Exhibit Hall Social Sponsorship - $1,000

  • Sponsorship indicated in conference agenda and with prominent logo on social signage. Sign also includes names of all other sponsor levels in secondary prominence.
  • Non-exclusive; shared with other sponsors.
  • Held Wed. night from 5-6 p.m. in the exhibit area.

Lanyard Sponsor - $1,000

  • Exclusive sponsorship.
  • Lanyards with your company name (you provide, recommend 300) made available for attendees at the registration desk.
  • Sponsorship indicated in conference agenda.

Meals
Exhibitor booth and sponsorship packages do not include attendance at any sessions or meals unless indicated. Meal tickets can be purchased individually at the time of your registration and are per person per meal. Cost is $15 for breakfast, $25 for lunch, and $40 for the banquet per meal per person.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancelled on or before April 1 = 50% refund*
  • Cancelled after April 1 = No refund. Benefits not reliant on attendance will be kept in place as able.
