The South Dakota Sheriffs’ Association holds two conferences annually, spring and fall.

Spring Conference:  Average attendance of 230-250.  Audience is comprised of Sheriff's Offices, Police Departments, and other State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies in South Dakota and surrounding states.

Fall Conference:  Average attendance of 130-150.  On odd numbered years, we host a "Dakota Territory Sheriffs Conference" between North Dakota and South Dakota.  Even numbered years, we also invite each state, but it is not an official Dakota Territory Conference.
