Brad Rathbun took office as the Sheriff of Stanley County in December 1984 and has been serving the citizens of Stanley County and Fort Pierre for over nineteen years. He is the youngest and longest serving Sheriff in Stanley County history. He is also a member of the Fort Pierre Fire Department and established a D.A.R.E. program in Stanley County in 1989. As Stanley County Sheriff, Brad oversees a staff of six employees including four sworn deputies.
