Sheriff Talich was sworn in as Sheriff on January 9th, 2023.  She has been a certified law enforcement officer since 2005 having served with the Rock Valley Police Department, Plymouth County Sheriffs Office, Centerville Police Department, Madison Police Department, Lennox Police Department, Tea Police Department, Union County Sheriff’s Office, and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Talich holds an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University.  She belongs to ICAC State of South Dakota and the South Dakota Sheriffs’ Association.
